**Success at first certificate - Practice tests 2**: Introduction About the first certificate exam
The exam consists of five papers: Paper 1.-Reading comprehension Paper 2.-Composition Paper 3.-Use of english Paper 4.-Listening Paper 5.-Interview
The marks given for each paper are a guideline only, as marks are adjusted and weighted to arrive at the final total for the whole exam of 180 marks. The with key edition of this book gives a further breakdown of possible marks within each paper. It also gives you the tapescript for the listening tests (Paper 4) The pass mark for the exam is 100 out of 180 marks. You will be given a letter grade for the exam: Pass grades are A, B and C, and Fail grades are D and E. You are not allowed ti use a dictionary during the exam.
