**Intermediate comprehension passages**: Intermediate Comprehension passages is for use in the two years leading up to the Cambridge Lower Certificate in English examination. It provides material for both written and aural comprehension and is divided into three related sections.
Section One consists of thirty graded passages with written exercises which initially concentrate on comprehension tested by multiple choice type questions. Gradually more emphasis is placed on testing both comprehension and expression thus leading the student to composition work.
Section Two consists of Recall Exercises to be done in conjuction with relevant passages in Section One. They provide grammatical practice within a contextual framework.
Section three contains Aural Comprehension tests. There are passages to be read aloud with comprehension questions and dictation exercises. These passages are related to Section One and provide further reinforcement material.
