This is a completely revised and reset edition of the Dictionary that was first published in Tokyo, under the title Idiomatic and Syntactic English Dictionary, for the Institute for Rescarch in English Teaching in 1942 and reprinted photographically by the Oxford University Press from 1948 onwards for publication outside Japan.
